As soon as you log into KanbanBOX, you will find yourself on the Home Page. This page has certain elements that set it apart from all others, such as Widgets. These provide shortcuts for performing various operations on cards and other activities available in KanbanBOX and are customizable to meet the needs of each user.
Navigation bar
At the top of the Home Page, as well as on other pages, you will find the navigation bar. This bar is used to navigate through the various pages of KanbanBOX.
The main items found in the navigation bar are:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Home | This button allows you to return to the Home Page from any page in KanbanBOX. |
Masters | The masters menu contains all the information related to parts, partners (customers and suppliers), bins, and users managed in KanbanBOX. From the dropdown menu that opens by clicking this button, you can view, add, and edit all the previously mentioned elements. |
Kanbans | Once the masters have been created, clicking this button allows you to create kanban loops with these elements. A kanban is essentially represented by a loop based on a component, a supplier, and a customer. From this menu, you can view active kanban loops, create a new loop, and view those in the project phase. |
From this menu, you can access pages that allow you to modify aspects related to the physical printing of cards. These include creating, updating, and managing print templates, as well as linking and managing the various printers used for card printing. | |
Kanban boards | The board is the most important KanbanBOX part. By clicking this button, you can access different types of boards, namely the board as supplier, the board as customer, and the board as planner, each containing different loops. On the boards, you can view the kanban loops along with their respective cards. |
Set | From this menu, you can access pages that allow you to set a card to the desired status. |
Report | From this menu, you can access a series of reports related to the history of the cards, statistics on stock levels and consumption, as well as the forecast. |
Settings | By clicking on this option, you can modify certain aspects that may concern the entire plant (and thus the license as a whole) or be specific to individual users (such as the display language, for example). |
KanbanBOX Tables
All data in KanbanBOX, such as master data and kanban loops, are represented in tables.
These tables are customizable, and by simply activating or deactivating flags, you can choose which aspects and fields of the elements contained in the table to display or hide.
Kanban board
On the KanbanBOX board, you can see the kanban loops that have been created with the cards that make them up.
On the board, each row represents a loop: on the left side, the loop header displays some data such as the part numbre, part description, supplier, customer, and the number of cards. The rest of the board shows the cards for each loop, with different colors indicating the status of each card.
