Throw-away kanban cards
Hardware required on the Supplier Side
|
A device with a web browser and internet connection |
As a supplier, you need a web browser to access the KanbanBOX web app, see your electronic kanban board and receive released cards from your customer. The device may be a workstation, a laptop or just a tablet, but you have to be able to print pdf files from it. |

A printer connected to the device
|
You need a printer to print the released kanban cards. As a printer, you can use one of your already existing laser or label printers. If you’re planning to extend this service to other customers, we suggest to dedicate a printer to this job with a personalized paper format. A label printer with removable labels (“attaches and detaches”) is a cheap and practical solution if you have to print many kanban cards a day. |

A barcode reader is only needed if you want to advance the kanban cards through the intermediate stages (like for example “In Process”, “Done” or “In Transit”) |

A common barcode reader |
As a customer, you need a barcode reader to quickly set kanban cards as “released” when they are emptied, and set them “Full” when they are received. |
