Track and Trace

The Track and Trace module allows you to identify the connection between the kanban of the Finished product and the kanban of its Components, and vice versa.

In KanbanBOX the Track and Trace module can be used to identify which components have generated defects in a finished product or, on the contrary, in which finished product defective components have been used.

KanbanBOX identifies the connections between the kanbans of Component and the kanbans of Finished product for which the following conditions are verified:

1. the supplier of the Finished Product kanban is the customer of the Component kanban;
2. the consumption range of the Component kanban and the processing range of the Finished product kanban intersect even partially.

The intersection of the intervals has a tolerance range that can be changed by the KanbanBOX support on request.

The consumption range of the component kanban starts from the consumption of the previous Component kanban and ends at the emptying of the Component kanban under consideration.

The processing range of the finished product kanban starts when the kanban is set "In process" and ends when the kanban is set "Done".

Track Component kanbans

Starting from the Component kanban, KanbanBOX returns the Finished product kanbans that have been produced in the interval of time in which the component results in consumption.

Procedure:

1. Enter Report > Track and Trace.
2. Click on the Track Components tab.
3. Insert the Card ID of the Component kanban you want to track.
4. Click on Generate the report to view the Finished product kanbans produced during the consumption period of the Component consumption period.

KanbanBOX returns a table where each row represents a Finished product kanban produced during the period of emptying the component.

Trace Finished product kanbans

Starting from the Finished product kanban, KanbanBOX returns the Component kanbans that have been consumed in the time interval in which the finished product was in production.

Procedure:

1. Enter Report > Track and Trace.
2. Click on the tab Trace Products.
3. Insert the Card ID of the Finished product kanban you want to trace.
4. Click on Generate the report to view the Component kanbans consumed during the production period of the finished product.

KanbanBOX returns a table where each row represents a Component kanban consumed during the production interval of the finished product.
