How to add or update the Part number transcoding for customers

The part transcoding allows the customer to associate in the master data each supplier part number with a personal one. This allows the customer to view his part number on the board and immediately understand which component he is talking about.

Add a new Part number transcoding

Procedure:

1. Link on Masters > Links > Transcoding purchase;
2. In the screen Part number transcoding with supplier, the table shows all the part numbers of external suppliers connected to our license. The Part number for the supplier without a corresponding value in the column Your part number, has no transcoding;
3. Filter and select the part number you want to update with your transcoding;
4. At the end of the line, click the button Add transcoding;
5. On the new page New part number transcoding:
   • If the component has already been created and saved in the master, click on the hand-lens icon Search and select the part number that has to be linked to that specific partner Kanban loop;
   • If the component is not present in the master, click on Add part number and fill the box with a Part number, Description, Unit of measure, etc.;
6. Once the article has been selected, click on Save. The associated code will be displayed in the table Part number transcoding with supplier and in Kanban Board as customer, in brackets, next to the Part number of the Kanban loop.

Update a Part number transcoding

Procedure:

1. Link on Masters > Links > Transcoding purchase;
2. Filter and select the part number you want to update with your transcoding;
3. At the end of the line, click the button Update transcoding;
4. On the new page Update part number transcoding:
   • If the component has already been created and saved in the master, click on the hand-lens icon Search and select the part number that has to be linked to that specific partner Kanban loop;
   • If the component is not present in the master, click on Add part number and fill the box with a Part number, Description, Unit of measure, etc.;
5. Once the article has been selected, click on Save. The associated code will be displayed in the table Part number transcoding with supplier and in Kanban Board as customer, in brackets, next to the Part number of the Kanban loop.
