It is possible to send the cards directly to print without going through the preview.
The mechanism works both for individual labels and for the entire print queue; however, it does not work for the printing of worklists, which continue to be displayed as PDFs before they can be printed.
The functionality requires the installation of qz-tray on the local computer. The program is available for both Windows and Mac OS and may require the installation of Java if it is not already present on the personal computer.
Here are the steps for installation:
-
Download the program qz-tray by choosing the appropriate file for your operating system:
- qz-tray for Windows (in case Windows prevents the program from starting, disable SmartScreen from the computer settings and restart the installation)
- qz-tray for Mac (Intel)
- qz-tray for Mac (Apple Silicon)
-
Click on Next.
- Then I Agree.
- And finally Install.
- It will install an icon in your tray: click on it and hit the Automatically start menu.
- The first time you access this page, a popup will be displayed, asking for the authorization to work with the KanbanBOX website: check the Remember this decision and click on Allow, to make your computer will be ready to print.
- qz-tray is automatically launched when the computer starts up and, if qz-tray is not running at the time of printing, the user will be prompted by the browser to launch the qz-tray.exe program.
The program is correctly installed on the computer and can be used by KanbanBOX to send the print job, through the configurations described in the article on Automatic Printing.
