What’s a part?
In KanbanBOX it’s important to fill masters with parts (raw materials, work in process or finished goods) that you want to manage with Kanban.
Fields in master part
Field | Description |

Part number | Item number. |
Description | Part or item description. |
Unit of measure | Examples:

Image | Image in .jpg, .png or .pdf format (maximum size 2MB). |
Weight | Weight per unit of material. By default, KG (kilogram) is the weigh unit. Otherwise, change weight unit in Company settings. |
Statistical cost | Statistical cost per unit of material. Cost in local currency. |
Part custom field 1, 2, 3 and 4 | Custom fields. Remember to define the field in Company settings > Form settings. |
It is possible to add custom validation for some fields. See Custom field validation for more information.
Add a new part
Procedure:
- Get in
Master data >
Parts >
Add part.
- Fill all the data concerning the part.
- Click
Save and the part is filled in the master.
Update a part
Procedure:
- Get in
Master data >
Parts >
Parts list.
- In the parts master list, search or filter the part to update, and at the end of the row click the button
Edit part.
- After the update, to confirm click
Save.
Delete a part
Before deleting a part, check if the part is used in a kanban loop or card.
Procedure:
- Get in
Master data >
Parts >
Parts list.
- In the parts master list, search or filter the part to update, and at the end of the row click the button
Delete part.
- To confirm the delete, click
Save.
