How to properly run an import

A massive import can help you to quickly update a large number of codes but implies a high level of risk or error.

For this reason, we recommend:

1. Before making an import into the production environment, reachable at the address app.kanbanbox.com,
   test the import in the testing environment, reachable at test.kanbanbox.com. The procedure is the same
2. In case of a modification of data on KanbanBOX always rely on the current data present in the Masters or in the Kanban Loops and avoid updating obsolete files, previously downloaded and no longer updated

3. On the summary page of the data to be imported, pay particular attention to the fields:

   Field	Field description
   Errors	If the import causes an error, the line will be placed at the top of the code list and will not be imported to the system. It is possible to understand the error in this column.
   Action	Update: the data is not new, but the article, the kanban loop, the partner etc. will be updated in KanbanBOX. Attention: when you update a component, a kanban loop, a partner etc., all the information previously entered are permanently lost in all the respective fields and replaced by the new ones present in the Excel file! Add new: a new article, loop, partner, etc. is entered in KanbanBOX.

4. In case of error, you can always retrieve the data of the previous day in the testing environment, reachable at the address test.kanbanbox.com
